Correct sump and dipstick location
Port side dipstick threaded into the oil pan
Metric thread, oil drain 1986 & Up
It’s now an electrically coated paint. There is no more rubber coating like it used to be. The E coding is supposed to help keep the pan from rusting. The old rubber coating would get water trapped between the rubber in the pan.
1985 and prior will need this metric threaded oil drain kit or plug!

This is a new pan that fits the marine engines & it is about one half inch lower than the standard pan.
