The Separator is a jacking plug for pushing the shaft out of an A.R.E. System coupling.
ONLY works with the ARE Drive Shaft System
It screws into the drive shaft coupling pressing against the shaft and pops it off. It will only work with the ARE system that has internal threads in the coupler.
