INTRODUCING THE ALL NEW PATENT PENDING DRIPLESS SHAFT SEAL SYSTEM FROM OJ PROPS: THE OJ FLEX GLAND

WE HAVE DEVELOPED THE FIRST DRIPLESS SHAFT SEAL THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE A WATER FEED FROM THE ENGINE. MAKING RETRO FIT INSTALLATION MUCH EASIER WITHOUT THE NEED FOR THE ADDITIONAL PLUMBING. CHANGING TO THE OJ FLEX SEAL IN A BOAT THAT CURRENTLY HAS THE PLUMBING IS AS SIMPLE AS A PLUG IN THE CURRENT WATERLINE. THIS SYSTEM WAS ALSO DESIGNED TO PROVIDE MORE FLEXIBILITY IN THE HOSE BY ELIMINATING THE EXTENDED HOUSING, WHICH IN A MISALIGNMENT CONDITION WOULD CONTACT THE PROP SHAFT, AND THE ADDITIONAL HUMPS AND STAINLESS RINGS IN THE HOSE.

The overall length of the system is 5 ½” inches. The hose can be trimmed, on the shaft log end, to shorten up the length. The seal itself is self lubricated, pre-greased, there is no need to lubricate the seal with water from the engine it will get enough lake water from the shaft log side.

Previous water cooled systems were not lubricating the seal but cooling the housing that could contact the shaft. The FLEX GLAND does not have an inner housing that can contact the shaft.
